Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences
Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences offers a wide range of study opportunities in the engineering, computer science, and business fields. Founded in 1878 as the “Grand Duchy of Baden College of Building”, the institution was awarded university status in 1971. With more than 6,300 students, it is today the largest university of applied sciences in the German federal state of Baden-Württemberg and also one of those most actively engaged in research. With about 280,000 inhabitants, the city of Karlsruhe, located on the northern edge of the Black Forest near the border with France, has in recent years become one of the leading centers of technology in the country.
