Strong regions, strong universities – connecting interests

On 11.12.2009 six leading universities of applied sciences in the field of engineering sciences founded the national “German Alliance of Applied Sciences “ (HAWtech). The founding universities were: Aachen University of Applied Sciences, Berlin University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences, Dresden University of Applied Sciences, Esslingen University of Applied Sciences and Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences.

Each of the member universities has a distinct technical focus, enjoys an excellent reputation in its field and is situated in one of the most economically attractive regions in Germany. The student population of all the Alliance universities together amounts to about 47.000 students.
